Lauren and Greg were married at the Longview Country Club in Weddington, North Carolina. At the time of our initial planning discussions, they opted for an “after session” instead of an engagement session. I personally REALLY like these sessions and discuss the idea with my soon-t0-be married couples. A few weeks/days/months after the wedding, the bride and groom get back into their wedding day attire and we have an entire session with them as man and wife! It is a great way to get a ton of extra photos of just the two of you. The session isn’t hurried or stressful, and you don’t worry (as much) about your dress! The couples who do this are always thrilled that their wedding album can now showcase even more photos of just the two of them! After sessions also allow us to be more creative. We pick the date, time of day and location, which allows us to be diligent with specifics. It can also buy extra time on the wedding day too, depending on how your day is scheduled or if the sun sets too close to your ceremony time and you always wished for sunkissed photos; it saves 40 minutes of the bride and groom only photos after the ceremony (although we are always sure to get a few great shots ON the day!) Lauren opted to change it up a bit and wear her hair down during the session, but all else was exactly the same. It was great to photograph them again, and they had so much fun being together as ‘bride and groom’ a few months after they said I-do. I have added their “after session” photos to their wedding gallery and wanted to make sure the beauty of their wedding was blogged about… it was truly spectacular, all the way to the end of the night when FIREWORKS lit up the night sky as guests bid farewell to the new Mr. + Mrs!
