Nicole and Jim were married this fall at Champagne Manor in Monroe, NC. There was so much magic that happened that day, from soaring hawks to lingering butterflies, and so much love… it was so hard to narrow down all of the little moments into a blog post! … here are some of my favorites… congrats Nicole and Jim! xo
Three generations of tie-helping :) The cutest.
The first time Jim and his son saw their daughter/sister for the first time. How adorable are these reactions! Love it.
This beautiful hawk circled the ceremony site before Nicole walked down the aisle. I am always one to look for “signs” in life… and I got chills when witnessing this bird. In almost all religions, birds are seen as “spiritual messengers” and act as mediators between a departed soul and those on earth. We all felt this was a sign from her beautiful mom who was there with everyone. Amazing.
Nicole and Jim sent butterflies into the wind in honor of her mother… one stayed behind and lingered a little longer than the rest, and was sure to “hold” onto both of their hands at the same time. Just beautiful!
Nicole and Jim were also the “paint people”! At our initial meeting, they told me to “do whatever” I wanted at their engagement session… so I did! If you remember that post, you can now put faces and a story to that image. I will be forever grateful that they allowed me that crazy creative freedom… it’s one of my favorite photos EVER.
